Connecticut Gun Maker Moves To South Carolina

This is what happens when you pass laws making the products a company manufactures, illegal:

The CEO of a Connecticut gun company moving to South Carolina because of the southern state’s less restrictive gun laws says he is no longer sad, but angry he felt like he had to leave his home state.

PTR Industries CEO Josh Fiorini came to his company’s new home in tiny Aynor on Monday for a celebration of the firm’s move South. Fiorini says he had little choice but to move after Connecticut passed a new law banning assault weapons and ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. He says the law makes all the rifles PTR Industries makes illegal in the state.

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and other local leaders joined Fiorini. PTR Industries plan to hire an additional 100 workers, more than doubling its workforce.

Adding jobs to South Carolina because knees reflexively jerked in Connecticut. Nice going!
