Media Matters Eric Boehlert Thinks 34 Year Old Chelsea Clinton Is A Child

Everything Clinton is sacred according to the sycophants over at Media Matters. Maureen Dowd wrote an op-ed that wasn’t very flattering towards to Chelsea Clinton and Media Matters, particularly Senior “Fellow” Eric Boehlert didn’t like it. Boehlert tweeted:

still looking for NYT columns attacking children of Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Jeb Bush, etc. pls send; http://t.co/T9cMhZSojy

This is rather amusing on its face. Chelsea Clinton is a married, 34 year old woman who is expecting her first baby. She is hardly a “child.” For the sake of comparison, Ted Cruz’s daughters are approximately 6 and 3 years old.

How does this possibly compare? It doesn’t of course, but we’re talking about the an organization run by the coke-addled brain of one David Brock. And apparently, the crazy wears off on everybody. At one point, Rachel Mullen tweeted the following:

ICYMI @EricBoehlert & @mmfa worry about 34 yo “child” & NBC staffer Chelsea Clinton getting feelings hurt. No word on concern 4 kids of R’s.

to which Eric responded:

@rachelfromohio just curious, how long are you going to pretend “children” doesn’t also mean “son or daughter”? (Dictionaries are tricky)

— Eric Boehlert (@EricBoehlert) July 13, 2014

That was when I kind of lost it.

.@EricBoehlert Are you this stupid? “Children” is the plural of “child.” It’s the stage between birth and puberty. Jesus. @rachelfromohio

This is par for the course for Boehlert. He gets caught up in his own inane rhetoric and then tries to cover himself by coming up with a lame excuse like that. Even if one were to believe his logic, what does that say about Media Matters themselves as they have gone after the “children” of former people in the White House before. And what about other children?

.@EricBoehlert Chris Stevens was someone’s child, correct? But what difference does that make?

— Rachel Mullen (@rachelfromohio) July 13, 2014

Good question.

Media Matters has an entire tag devoted to Liz Cheney. She’s a “child” of former Vice President. How could Media Matters be so cruel in attacking a child like that?

Mike Peters summed up the entire ridiculous incident with this tweet about Chelsea.

@hboulware @stephenkruiser @JayCaruso @EricBoehlert @mmfa This is insane. At 34, she can’t even be on her parents’ health insurance anymore.

There you go Eric. If only Chelsea were 25. Then you might not have looked so stupid.
