California has financial problems that rival that of some third world nations. So what’s a hot burning issue right now? Allowing students to choose which bathrooms they can use and sports they can play based on how they “perceive” themselves:
State lawmakers are sending Gov. Jerry Brown a bill that would require California’s public K-12 schools to let transgender students choose which restrooms they use and which school teams they join based on their gender identity instead of their chromosomes.
While some school districts around the country have implemented similar policies, the bill’s author says AB1266 would mark the first time a state has mandated such treatment in statute.
The bill would give youths the right “to participate in sex-segregated programs, activities and facilities” based on their self-perception, regardless of their birth gender.
I’m sorry but this just idiotic. Biology is not based on “self-perception.”
If you have a penis and testicles, you are a male. If your parents want to pay for you to have a sex change operation, great. Call me insensitive, until that time comes however, boys should use urinals and they should not be allowed to join the girls volleyball team.
